We decided to take a late summer road trip, from California to Wisconsin.
The scenery between Los Angeles and Colorado is amazing.
We stopped in Snowmass for a night. Storms were threatening so we couldn't go paragliding, but a nice horseback ride was a nice alternative.
Maroon Bells, a beautiful place for a short hike.
Aspen forests.
The scenic drive through the Rockies was worth the extra time.
Climbing over Independence Pass.
We went rafting and took a train ride before flying to Chicago.
Chicago...quite a difference from the mountains of Colorado. We took the train in from the airport, then used it to get to Milwaukee.
The night view from the Hancock Tower.
We had to attend a Brewers game while in Milwaukee.
...and of course, Noah's Ark.
After the Midwest, we flew back to Colorado and decided to visit Arches.
It was hot, but that didn't stop us from hiking to one of the park's main attractions.
And finally, we drove back through the gorgeous views of Utah.
