We began our hike up Cucamonga Peak on a gloomy, cool afternoon. The forecast was for rain, but we were anticipating clear skies as we reached the higher altitude where we would be camping.

The hike is a steady uphill climb, with only a couple small sections that are level or downhill.

As we climbed higher we were able to see the tops of the clouds.
