Spring has arrived in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a long, vibrant flower season.

Around noon, the winds picked up, and a sand storm formed off in the distance. Within a matter of minutes, we were getting blasted in the face with strong sandy gusts. We had planned on a hike through the slot canyon, but it wouldn't have been much fun battling the winds the whole way. So we called it quits and headed home earlier than planned.
