We drove from Anchorage down to Seward for a cruise on Resurrection Bay. We could tell the drive had amazing scenery, but it was cloudy with no visibility most of the way. Every once in a while the mountains would peak out of the clouds.

Seward, along with many areas of Alaska, have an interesting mix of tourism and heavy industry.
These two eagles were nesting near the harbor.

The mountains were thick with trees. Resurrection Bay has an incredibly rugged coastline, with only a few areas where you can dock your boat and explore.
We passed an abandoned World War 2 bunker.
Ice falls. This small river inlet has a mixture of salt and fresh water. With smaller boats, we could have continued up river.
We had a rare sighting of three river otters. They were cautious with us nearby and took every opportunity to stay hidden behind the snow and trees.

We saw more eagles on this cruise than I've ever seen in my life.
A small island where the sea lions like to hang out. They were enjoying the little bit of sunshine that kept showing through the clouds.
A storm was slowly approaching on the horizon.
We made a quick stop on a secluded beach.
This forest was soaked in saltwater after an earthquake, leaving it petrified.
The beginning of a snowman. We didn't have much time, but the snow was perfect for rolling snowballs. We didn’t have enough time to finish the snowman. The storm was coming and we had to get back to the boat.

We caught a bit of a view of Exit Glacier.
As we were about to head back to Seward, this sea otter decided to pop up and we couldn't leave without enjoying his antics in the water. He clearly saw us, and it felt like he was putting on a show for us.

We had a nice view from our hotel in downtown Seward.
Later that night we went out to explore the coastline of Seward.

At one point, a pair of eagles flew directly over our heads.
