Day four began with a small snow crossing.
The valley was covered in rain from the night before, giving it a little extra shimmer in the morning light.
Looking up at our final pass of the trek, Frigid Air Pass. From the map, this one looked tough, and the name was a little intimidating knowing how cold it can get.
Off in the distance we heard coyotes talking back and forth.
We reached Frigid Air pass, and ironically, it was the warmest and most pleasant pass we experienced.
We spent more than an hour up here, the views were amazing and the clouds were perfect.
Sky pilot; silky phacelia
Lots of marmots.
After enjoying the views of Frigid Air Pass, we finally had to say goodbye and begin our descent back to the trailhead. We still had a long way, but the hardest part was over. The rest would be a pleasant walk through wildflower covered valleys.
Chipmunk. Despite what people think, critters are more of a danger here than bears. They're capable of digging into your packs and stealing your food. Marmots are even known to walk off with your shoes!
Lewis flax; blue flax; prairie flax-so simple looking, yet so beautiful.
After 30 miles and four days, we reached the parking lot and were so happy to have finally completed the Four Pass Loop.
